President & Owner
Ginny is President and Owner of McHugh Consulting having founded the company in 1999. Ginny has over 25 years of expertise in compliance and over 30 in the insurance industry in general. Prior to forming McHugh Consulting, Ginny held multiple officer level and managerial level compliance positions for several national insurers, among them AEGON, Chartis (AIG), and John Alden Life (Assurant). She offers a blend of expertise that serves all lines of business along with decision-making capabilities and insight into the demands facing insurance companies today.
Ginny served as National President for the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) 2009-2010, having also served on the Board as Vice President from 2008 –2009, and past President 2010-2011. She has been a member of AICP for over 10 years and previously served as Regional Director and Treasurer of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the AICP. She has been a frequent presenter, as well as exhibitor at eight of the last AICP Annual conferences having shared her expertise on topics such as extraterritoriality, discretionary groups, trusts, association groups, and niche markets.
Ginny also previously served as Executive Chair of the Life and Health Compliance Association (LHCA), on the Executive Board of the Society of Group Contract Analysts (SOGCA), and was on the South Carolina Small Employer Health Insurance Benefits Advisory Committee.
Ginny graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from West Chester University and was the Undergraduate Commencement Speaker. She has a paralegal certification from University of Delaware.
